Wetland4Change will take part in the 12th Hellenic Ecological Society Conference (HELECOS-12) with EKBY, which will take place in Athens from 1 to 4 October 2025.
During the conference, the team will present the first results of the fieldwork on carbon flux estimation in Lake Kerkini, developed in collaboration with the University of Valencia. The initial findings, collected during the summer sampling campaign, highlight spatial patterns of carbon dioxide exchange and help identify areas acting either as carbon sinks or sources.Further results are expected through continuous seasonal monitoring, which will contribute to a clearer understanding of greenhouse-gas dynamics in the lake.
