From 2 to 4 of December, Wetland4Change team will gather in Greece for a technical meeting and stakeholder event.

The public stakeholders event will officially start on December, 3rd followed by an immersive tour around Wetland4Change greek pilot site : Kerkini Lake. Participants will explore key sites and exchange experiences on topics ranging from buffalo grazing practices and the role of small wetlands in agricultural landscapes to carbon flux monitoring in the Strymon delta. Discussions will also highlight river basin and flood risk management planning, as well as municipal and cross-border initiatives fostered through the Network of Cities with Lakes.

In the afternoon, the session will focus on the new GAEC 2 requirements under the EU Common Agricultural Policy, with stakeholders from Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, and Spain sharing their approaches to wetland and peatland protection.

This hands-on event aims to strengthen collaboration, deepen technical understanding, and build shared solutions for wetland resilience across the region.
