Christoph presented the state of our project activities and shared insights into the upcoming steps of work related to carbon sequestration and flood regulation in the pilot sites. Participants from academia, public authorities and NGOs took part in the session enabling active discussion and synergies and collaborative opportunities.

The Congress offered the stage for representatives from other Interreg Euro-MED projects like LocAll4Flood and the Natural Heritage Mission (NHM). Conversations focused on amplifying projects impacts and exploring further opportunities. The Foundation of New Water Culture (Fundación Nueva Cultura de Agua), organiser of the Congress, is also an Associated Partner of the NHM.

‘The event represents more than a platform to share knowledge but also an extraordinary interface between different water-related organisations and, hence could be a platform to further disseminate the outcomes of the Wetland4Change project’ explained Christoph Schröder.
